Is the world going to the dogs???

Sometimes it gets so frustrating to read and hear about all that is happening across the world.....just for example our neighbour Pakistan.......Gen. Pervez Mussharaf declared a state of emergency last week, clamping down on all his opponents.......and what is America doing?.......it's not talking tough to him......it's not stopping aid to him......they are just hoping that Pakistan will return to democracy.......they can bombard Afghanistan at the slightest provocation.....invade Iraq just to fulfill Mr. George Bush's desire to get the better of Saddam Hussien on false pretexts.......but no they will not put their foot down when it comes to genuine issues!!!......double standards!!!
There is also Myanmar where the military has been ruling now for eons........but no strong action is taken against the military rulers......some countries can get away with murder it seems.......another being China.......they have occupied Tibet now for many years.......and just so that there is no diplomatic row the Indian government stops it's ministers from attending a function to honour the Dalai Lama!!!!
Indian Government is no better........seems like nobody can stand up for their principles anymore nowadays, that is provided they are left with any principles anymore!!
